Brief

To encourage children to understand the value of saving.

Solution

We developed the website www.funtosave.org so that children, their parents/carers and teachers could use it at home and at school. It also made it accessible to other Mutuals too. The site is aimed at 4 - 7 year olds and contains 6 fun games. Fun to Save is a safe place where children can have lots of fun while they learn about different aspects of money and ways to save. Playing money orientated games encourages children to earn points, save up these points, and then use them to ‘get stuff’, such as colouring in sheets, stickers for an online sticker album, accessories for their chosen character and desktop wallpaper. Each game is fully supported with teachers notes and tips and lots of downloadable resources too.
